Church Plan

This 30 x60' brick church, marked by the remnants of a builder's trench, was constructed in a simple rectangular plan with doors on the west and the south. Holes marking the location of scaffolding employed during construction flank the perimeter of the trench. A series of larger post impressions in the center of the building were most likely left by floor supports, while others outside the west door may indicate the position of a later porch. A single grave and a vault for two burials also were discovered in the church.
