From the wreck of the sailing ship Col. A.B. Williams
The Williams was lost in 1863 while carrying a cargo of coal. One of the earliest shipwrecks in the area, she lies in 84 feet of water. The wreck was discovered in 1957 when a commercial fisherman's nets became entangled on an obstruction in the lake. This anchor was removed three years later.HM Number | HM1V5N |
