The Bluebird Mine and Gift Shop was been known as the ghost town of Goldfield since 1947. When George (Red) Monagan reopened Goldfield by reestablishing the name and town with the Bluefield Mine Pop Stand. Red gave life to Goldfield in 1947 making the Bluebird Mine and Gift Shop a historical marker to Goldfield. The gift shop, pop stand, and Ruiz Marina is built on the original site of Goldfield.
