Marsh's (2d) Brig., McClernand's (1st) Div.,
Army of the Tennessee.

The three right regiments of this brigade reformed here at 11.30 a.m. April 6, 1862, and advance, fighting, 600 yards where they were joined by the 45th regiment. The brigade was then driven back slowly to this place where it was engaged until 2.30 p.m. When it retired to Hamburg Road.
