Built by Daniel C. Barber, Jr., this building wasmodeled after the Western Auto Store in theCharlottetown Mall in Charolette and was thefirst pre-stressed concrete on Main Street.The Barber Family ran the Western Auto Storeand True Value Hardware Store here from 1961until 2007. The St. Johns Hotel was on this siteprior to 1915.
