Founded in 1898 by Robert Jemison, this 30-acre historic district is a private residential park containing an almost intact collection of some of Birmingham's finest 20th century houses. It was the first professionally landscaped residential community in the city and the first where residents adhered to strictly self-imposed rules and covenants. National Register of Historic Places 8-30-1984.
