Miss Taylor married Lieut. Jefferson Davisat Louisville, Kentucky on June 17, 1835and died in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana,on September 15, of the same year.
Zachary Taylor subsequently became theTwelfth President of the United States,and Jefferson Davis the First and onlyPresident of the Confederate States of America.
