— Vernacular Commercial Style —Originally the site of the I.O.O.F. hall built by Baptiste Borda at the turn of the 19th Century. The Adaven Building has been a merchandise store, soda fountain, restaurant, and hotel. The Adaven Building also had a post office for a period of time. With the advent of the automobile "Gasolene" could be purchased here.
