This marker erected by the Haymarket Agricultural Club, indicates the spot where General R.E. Lee, General Longstreet, and General Jackson, met on August 29th, 1862, about 12.30 P.M. As certified by Lieut. Col. Edmund Berkeley, sole survivor of the meeting, who served that day on General Longstreet's staff by special order.
