1982 - 1984

A member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Sutton was acquired from the Houston Astros on August 30, 1982 to strengthen the Brewers' push to the American League Pennant. Started seven games down the stretch in 1982, posting a 4-1 record and 3.29 ERA. Made three starts in the 1982 postseason, including game three of the ALCS where he pitched 7.2 innings, struck out nine batters and allowed only three runs to earn the victory. Started 71 regular season games for Milwaukee between 1982 and 1984, earning 26 wins with a 3.86 ERA. Pitched five more seasons after his time with the Brewers, and became just the 19th member of baseball's 300-win club with a complete-game victory on June 18, 1986.
