Normand House

English translation (Google):
Pierre-Philias Normand, who came to work on the repair of the parish church, opened the first general store in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly in 1832. The building was originally a simple farmhouse and was transformed into a family residence on one side and a store on the other. Three generations followed each other until its closure in 1990.
In 1893, fire destroyed everything and even the nearby general store, owned by the Breton family, was not spared. The Normand family rebuilt "big" the following year: New Empire architecture, lantern, four-sided mansard roof, iron balcony all the way. The Canadian-made tin roof was redone in 2013.
Depending on the era, the store adjusts to demand: grocery and haberdashery, tire sales, etc. As space is running out, buildings serve as warehouses on Normand Street.
High place of village sociability, schoolchildren come, at lunchtime, to satisfy themselves with the "good food" from the kitchen Madame Normand, while "reds" and "blues" debate elections hotly and burst out a laugh around the table where father has just left drop his ace.
