Acquired in a trade for Kevin Seitzer in August 1996, Burnitz spent five-plus seasons in Milwaukee. Averaged 33 home runs, 102 RBI, 92 runs, 32 doubles and a .875 OPS from 1997 to 2001 also a valuable defensive asset, finishing among the top five N.L. right fielders in assists four out of five years from 1997 to 2001. Named Brewers Player of the Year in 1998, and then a starter for the National League All-Star Team in 1999, becoming the first Brewer to start an All-Star Game since Paul Molitor in 1988. Finished Brewers career with 165 home runs and 525 RBI in 782 games. At the end of his Brewers tenure, Burnitz's home run total ranked sixth all-time in franchise history.HM Number | HM2KB4 |
