12 Broad St.
This brick building was originally built as a garage for horse and carriage in 1910. It was converted to a theater for showing "silent flickers" in 1917. A new facade was added to replicate the Spanish Mission Style architecture common to movie theatres in Hollywood. It prospered as Berlin's movie house and only entertainment venue for 50 years.HM Number | HM2JJ4 |
