Landmarks of New YorkConstructed in 1907, this was the original home of the Colony Club. Stanford White was the architect and Elsie De Wolfe the interior decorator. In 1963, the building was acquired by the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, founded in 1884 by Franklin Haven Sargent.
