1st Brigade - Brigadier General Samuel Beatty.
2nd Brigade - Colonel George F. Dick.
3rd Brigade - Colonel Sidney M. Barnes.


Samuel Beatty's and Dick's Brigades of this Division were ordered forward from Lee and Gordon's Mill at 1 p.m. to the support of Palmer's Division. About 1:30 p.m. Beatty's Brigade formed at this point, having Grose's Brigade of Palmer's Division to its left, and Dick's Brigade on its right. An advance of 200 yards led to heavy fighting, and resulted in the capture of four of the enemy's guns. At 4 p.m. Van Cleve had been driven across the Lafayette Road at Brotherton's House by Bate's and Clayton's Brigades of Stewart's Division.
