Oakbrook Regional Park Archeological AreaDating as far back as 12,000 years ago until the late 1800's, Chumash people had established many villages and seasonal encampments in this area due to territorial and ritual privileges and the abundant source of food and water bestowed upon the ancient Chumash and their descendants.
