1912

—City of Hood River Downtown Historic District —

The Mt. Hood Hotel Annex, constructed in 1912-13, was built as an annex to the original wooden hotel which stood to the north. The first floor housed commercial businesses and the second story had apartments and additional hotel rooms. In 1926, the owners moved the hotel lobby to the Annex so it fronted Oak Street; the main route for motorists touring the Mt. Hood Loop and Columbia River highways. Restored in 1909, the hotel was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
