President Franklin D. Roosevelt, June 16, 1934
to honor the memory of
Seaman A. Knapp
Founder of Farm Demonstration Work

He organized the system of county farm
demonstration agents and boys' and girls' clubs
from which developed the Co-operative Extension Service of the United States.
