This chimney swift tower celebrates the work of Ben and Lula Coffey who directed members of the Tennessee Ornithological Society, Boy Scouts, and others in banding 113,000 swifts from 1932 to 1959. Rediscovery of six of the bands in Peru helped to discover the birds' winter home.
