The Brigade advanced about 5 o'clock from the glade 7oo yards east of this point, with Govan's Brigade on its left, and occupied this position without opposition.

Walthall's
Brigade bivouacked a short distance east of McDonald's. Taken into action 1827 officers and men. Casualties for the battle; killed 61; wounded 531; captured or missing 196; total 788. Percentage of loss 43.13.
