This flagpole, which stood for 30 years on the east wing of the State House in Boston, is presented to the Town of Plymouth by the Society of the Sons of the Revolution in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and dedicated to the memory ofCapt. John Coolidge,soldier of the Revolution and great great grandfather ofCalvin CoolidgePresident of the United StatesAugust 3, 1924 This plaque replaced in 1976 by The Calvin Coolidge Memorial Foundation
