Maya-Yucateco:

"The Peons"
Next to this building, eastwardly, is the corner called "The Bakery" or "Los Peones", after the surname, Peon, carried by several families, all related, who were owners of connecting pieces of land on streets 63 and 62, near this corner. There was a café here and a bakery at the beginning of the 20th century. The house where the illustrious Yucatecan author José Peón Contreras was born was also on this same block.
