Disaster at Eagle Park The Eagle Park resort was a popular summer tourist destination located near this site.On June 23rd 1912, about 300 people were waiting on the resort pier for the last ferry of the day to take them back to Buffalo. Tragically, the pier collapsed and 37 people, mostly women and children lost their lives.
