Morris' dramatic dinger was his only home run of the season, as he had been sidelined for most of the year with a hand injuryLSU went 52-15 and won four straight games in Omaha to claim its third NCAA title in six seasons, defeating Wichita State, Florida (twice) and Miami.The '96 Tigers captured the SEC title and were one of the most prolific offensive teams in league history, establishing conference records for home runs (131), runs scored (648), RBI (549), and total bases (1,331).
