Citation: For action on 10 June 1965 at Dong Xoai, Vietnam, the President of the United States in the name of the Congress, takes pride in presenting the MEDAL OF HONOR posthumously to Marvin Glen Shields 1939-1965, Construction Mechanic Third Class, United States Navy.
