— Historic —Hagen's A&W Root Beer Stand was a family-owned business for 35 years. The root beer stand was a source of summer employment for area high school students and community members. The A&W was a popular meeting place for local teens. All six of the Hagen siblings worked at A&W. Virginia modeled a strong work ethic, instilling team effort and hard work, to her employees. Many memories of family outings and children stopping for treats were made at this site.
