Inscription
Samuel Lippincott took title to a large tract of land from the proprietors of South Jersey about 1700 and developed the site with orchards and a cider mill. A large farmhouse was built c. 1820 by John Lippincott. In the late Georgian/Federal style, Barton, a local well known orchardist bought the land from Lippincott heirs. Dwelling destroyed by fire in 1998.
