Built in 1886 by volunteer labor. Deeded to the Methodist Church. Dedicated to The Lord the third Sunday in May, 1886. Second Protestant church in San Luis Obispo County. Served by circuit riding Methodist Minister A.N. Fields.

Framework of native pine milled at Huer Huero.

The building has been in constant use and holds a beloved place in the hearts of the community.
