Camp Roosevelt, NF-1
Good and plentiful food was a rare treat for many Americans during the Great Depression. The Mess Hall served over 200 men a day and enrollees gained an average of 15 pounds during their stay. In addition to regular meals, the Mess Hall was a hub of activity. It served as a place for holding dances, education classes and other events.HM Number | HM18PB |
