Mayor of Kansas City - 1855 to 1859 and 1862. One of our outstanding pioneers of this great city. He was responsible for the first grading of streets beyond the levee and for obtaining the first gas and water plants. He also served in the Missouri Legislature where he had charge of the bill that brought the first railroad to Kansas City.
