This Garden is in Memory of Robert Francis Harper (1864-1906). Robert Francis "Frank" Harper, who was born in this cabin, joined his brother William Rainey in studying ancient languages. He became one of the world experts on the ancient people of Assyria. Harper directed the expedition to Babylonia for the Oriental Exploration Fund; edited the American Journal of Semitic Languages; directed the American School for Oriental Study and Research in Palestine and was a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, London. He was the translator from cuneiform of the landmark work The Code of the Hammurabi.
