The boundaries of
the County Forest Preserve are the same
as they were when Elkanoh Rockwell
leased this land from James Duane in 1794.
Duane held 50,000 acres in the area
then known as Duane's Bush. He divided
his land into hundred acre parcels
called Great Lots.
This is Great Lot #92.
