Noah and James Burr, Jr. donated this land for a burial ground. Over 1,400 men, women & children are interred including many of the areas first settlers. Veterans include: Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, WWI & II, Korea & Vietnam. The oldest surviving tombstone is that of Nathaniel W. Knapp, (1797)
