Cheatham's (2d) Div., Polk's Corps,
Army of the Mississippi.

This brigade with its regiments in order from left to right as above, and battery in rear, bivouacked at this place Saturday night, April 5, 1862. At about 7 A.M. Sunday morning the 1st Tenn. was detached to the right to guard a ford on Lick Creek. The remainder of the brigade moved forward along the Pittsburg Road and became engaged at Hornets' Nest.
