Inscription
Previously a branch of nearby CoosawhatchieBaptist Church (now Beech Branch), this church was constituted as a seperate churchin 1813 and takes its name from the parish inwhich it was located. Espousing Primitive Baptist principals, the church broke with the Savannah River Association in 1840. Thepresent structure was erected prior to 1859.
