Attlebury School
The one room schoolhouse on this
site dates from the early 1800's. This
structure was built upon the
foundation of the original which
burned in 1909. This building was
used through 1947 for the primary
education of the children from
homes nearby and was one of several
schoolhouses in the Town of Stanford.
Restored in 1975-1976 in recognition of the
American Revolution Bicentennial by the
Attlebury School Restoration Committee
and the citizens of the communities of
the Pine Plains Central School District
Dedicated: July 4, 1976.
