Barns are a testament to our rural foundations. They are perhaps one of the greatest monuments of an almost forgotten way of life. These rustic buildings represent a time when people led a simpler, more provincial lifestyle.
The Barn was designed and built by the Shelley High School agriculture classes and by community volunteers. It is constructed from wood salvaged by Cannon Structures that was once part of the railway that spanned the Great Salt Lake.
The barn is used to teach animal care classes, provide facilities for 4-H groups, and to provide overnight boarding facilities for visitors to the RV park.
