This terrace area is dedicated to the first pioneer family of Eugene, Eugene & Mary Skinner and their daughter, on the 150th anniversary of their move into a log cabin on the western slope of this butte. Plaque was placed here by the Rotary Club of Eugene on May 26, 1997, after members renovated the surrounding area.
