Martinsburg's first merchantile store was built with logs on this site in the year 1815 by merchants Samuel Myers and William Entriken. The deteriorating 1850 brick building that was later built on this site was replaced with the present structure in 2015 by W. Gene Henry. For many years this location was known as "The Yellow Corner" because the 1850 brick store was painted bright yellow by the long time merchant A.J. Anderson.
