"Lee" was born in 1847 in Pontotoc Co., Miss. and came west with a cattle drive. He began ranching in Mason Co. "Sis" was born in 1860 in Hunt Co. She lost her first husband and three children in a flu epidemic, sold her land in East Texas, and moved west with her surviving baby. Lee and Sis were married in 1884 and were the parents of six sons and one daughter. They began ranching in Sutton Co. near Owensville in 1905. They worked hard, sacrificed, and built for the future. For this, we are grateful.
