The ferryboat Klamath was built in San Francisco in 1925 and often operated out of Hyde Street Pier. These steel propellers were taken off when she was converted to office space in 1964. Both propellers show signs of cavitation, which occurs when air bubbles, formed by the spinning prop, eat away the metal surface.
