Emmalani Na'ea Rooke Kaleleonalani was grand-niece of Kamehameha I and granddaughter of John Young, his royal advisor. She and husband Kamehameha IV had one son, Prince Albert, who died at the age of 4, followed not long after by his father. Concerned for the future of the Hawaiian people, she and Kamehameha IV founded the Honolulu Queen's Medical Center.HM Number | HM233U |
