Since the late 1800s Dickinson Square has influenced the development of Manotick, the Ottawa region and beyond. It steadfastly remains one of the last industry-based village squares in Ontario. Over the past 150 years the Dickinson, Spratt, and Watson families owned and operated the Square ensuring its survival for future generations.
The Spratt Family
During the 1930s and 1940s, the Square was filled not only with the sounds of the Mill, but also the day-to-day activities of family life.
