Baker City Historic District

This site was the location of Baker City's first brick hotel, the Cosmopolitan. The Rev. P. DeRoo, a Catholic priest who aquired (sic) extensive real estate interests, had the two-story building built in 1875. The hotel also served as the city's stage depot.HM Number | HM21J4 |
