Templo de San Juan de Dios
Atribuido en un principio a Nuestra Señora del Rosario, el Templo de San Juan de Dios terminó de construirse el 18 de mayo de 1562. Provisionalmente sirvió de Catedral durante la construcción de ésta, de modo que puede decirse que es el templo más antiguo de Mérida. Tanto el solar en el que se edificó el templo, como el que fue dedicado al hospital de San Juan de Dios, fueron donados por Gaspar Juárez de Dávila en 1575. Formó parte del desaparecido Hospital de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, construido en 1624, que estuvo bajo la administración de los Hermanos de San Juan de Dios, de donde tomó su nombre el recinto. El año 1861 pasó el hospital al ex convento de la Mejorada. La entrada original estuvo sobre la calle 61, donde se observan aún un alfiz de piedra en forma de rosario, aludiendo a la advocación del recinto, y una hornacina pequeña donde hubo antiguamente una imagen ya desaparecida, probablemente de la Virgen patronal. Una pequeña entrada sobre el ábside, flanqueada por dos pilastras coronadas por urnas y cabezas de leones, da acceso a la calle.English:

Formerly attributed to Our Lady of the Rosary, the building of this temple was finished on May 18, 1562. It temporarily served as Cathedral while this was being
built, thus it may be stated that it is the oldest temple in Merida. This property partially belonged to the extinct Hospital of Our Lady of the Rosary, and was devoted to the Hospital of San Juan de Dios (Saint John of God). Its former entryway was on 61st Street.Maya-Yucateco:
