Overall Record: 13-1 | SEC Record: 8-0Head Coach Les MilesLSU produced perhaps the greatest regular season in school history and one of the finest in all of the annals of college football as the Tigers blitzed to a 13-0 mark, a perfect 8-0 SEC record and the conference title. After a season-opening nationally televised showdown victory over Oregon in Dallas, LSU cruised to a No. 1 ranking and Game-of-the-Century overtime win over No. 2 Alabama. After dispensing No. 3 Arkansas in the regular season finale, Tyrann Mathieu dazzled the SEC championship Game crowd with a punt return for a TD and set up two other scores for a 42-10 blowout win over Georgia. Only a loss in the BCS title game marred this otherwise perfect season.
