Founded Dixilyn Corporation, 1945. Operator of contract oil drilling rigs in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana. Went public 2 March 1961, first Odessa business on American Stock Exchange. Developed technology, built off-shore rigs and high-pressure vessels. Founding director of Texas Commerce Bank - Odessa.
Organizer of Ector County Utility District. Initiated water service to 1,500 west Odessa customers in 1977. Served 10 years as first president. Led campaign for voter approval of Ector County Hospital District in 1990. Recipient of 1986 Community Statesman and 1990 Liberty Bell Awards. Civic booster, Philanthropist.
