You can no longer see a plain two-story house standing on Bishop Wright's small lot just ahead. Here on quiet tree-lined Hawthorne Street Orville Wright was born in 1871. Here Wilbur Wright died in 1912. The brothers who would one day create a flying machine lived most of their lives in an ordinary eight-room home with no indoor bathroom, together with their father and their youngest sister Katharine.
