This board and batten house, built in 1874 as a drugstore by Dr. James McCoy, first physician of Westminster Colony (founded 1870 by Rev. L.P. Webber), was the home of Marie Larter Hare, local educator, from 1912 to 1984. Restored in 1976 by Westminster Historical Society and City Council as a Bicentennial Community project.
